Manufacturing in your pocket is a SaaS platform for smart factory insights - the name says it all: the performance of entire production environments in your pocket. The platform builds on the manufacturing dashboard we developed for coffee producer JDE; since 2023 it has been growing as a standalone product, with a Make variant running at beauty group Coty.
The challenge
Production companies with multiple factories often struggle with siloed data. KPIs are tracked manually in spreadsheets, and management reports take days of manual work, are highly error-prone - and outdated the moment they are finished. Reports also look mostly backwards: steering on what is happening on the shop floor right now is barely possible. And without standardised reporting per site, factories cannot be compared, leaving patterns and improvement opportunities invisible.

Our approach
Together with the makers of Manufacturing in your pocket and industry experts, we first defined the key metrics and the hierarchy: factory, line, station. On that foundation we built a scalable SaaS platform:
- Flexible dashboards showing KPIs in real time, including OEE and TEEP metrics
- Drilldowns from the highest overview to an individual task or operator
- Threshold alerts that warn the moment a KPI goes out of bounds - visually, by e-mail or by text
- Role-based access: from plant manager to C-level, everyone sees exactly the right data
- Integrations with what is already there: MES, ERP and Excel exports
- A world map with every site, for groups producing across borders
For Coty we configured the platform as the Make app, with its own branding and a focus on safety and quality: from days-without-incidents per factory to quality audits per department. One codebase, two brands - which keeps further development fast and affordable.

The result
The platform has grown into a central tool for performance meetings, improvement programmes and strategic decisions. Users switch from reactive fixes to working from live data, and factories can finally be compared side by side. With JDE and Coty, the platform runs at two global brands; the collaboration continues and the product keeps growing.
