Services - Websites
Websites your organisation runs on.
Developed by software engineers - the same people who build our custom applications, integrations and AI solutions.
You can get a brochure site made anywhere - you don’t need us for that. We develop websites that have real requirements: accessible to everyone, multilingual, connected to the systems behind them and fast, even under load. And because engineers are behind it, our work doesn’t stop at the front end.
- WCAG accessibility as the starting point, not an afterthought
- Multilingual from day one
- Integrations with your CRM, planning or backend systems
- Core Web Vitals in the green, even at peak traffic

When a website is business-critical

Built by engineers - tested, monitored and maintained.
A website is business-critical when there is revenue or service delivery behind it. When applications, registrations, donations or bookings come in through the site. When visitors need to be able to actually do something - fill in a form, start an application, find information they depend on at that moment - and it hits your organisation directly the minute that falters. A website like that has different requirements than an online business card.
That’s why we treat a website as what it is: software.
What’s at stake
- Downtime isn’t a cosmetic flaw, it’s a disruption of your service
- A form that doesn’t work with a screen reader shuts out part of your audience
- A slow page at peak traffic costs you exactly the visitors you built the site for
Four things come as standard commitments in every website project we take on: WCAG accessibility, multilingualism where it’s needed, integrations with the systems behind the site and demonstrable performance. Not as options on a quote, but as starting points of the design.
What we do
Websites with real requirements.
No brochure sites, but websites with real requirements - and the responsibility that comes with them.
Built by engineers
Your site is developed, tested and maintained by software engineers, with our own CI/CD and a staging and production pipeline per client. We treat a website as software, not a template.
Accessible & multilingual
WCAG accessibility and multilingualism are a standard part of our design process - never an afterthought.
The bridge to apps and AI
The same people also develop application portals, dashboards, integrations and AI on your own data. Your site can grow with you - no second agency, no handover.
Accessible from day one
Digital accessibility isn’t an audit after the fact for us - it’s a design decision at the start. Testing for accessibility after the build means buying repair work; taking it along from day one means it’s built in almost without noticing. Semantic structure, sufficient contrast, visible focus, forms that work with a keyboard and a screen reader - it’s part of how we build, not a separate workstream.
We’ve been doing this for Schadefonds Geweldsmisdrijven for seven years. Their website serves a vulnerable audience: people who have been the victim of a violent crime and want to file an application. That’s exactly where accessibility can’t be an afterthought. Since 2019 we’ve been their partner in digital accessibility - from the build to its ongoing monitoring.
Accessibility is no longer optional either. Government organisations were already under a legal obligation, and with the European Accessibility Act digital accessibility has become a legal requirement for many businesses as well. We don’t see that as a stick - it confirms how we’ve always built.
Multilingual and manageable
Multilingualism is more than a translate button. It affects your information architecture, your URL structure, your findability and the daily work of your editors. That’s why we set up multilingualism from day one, so that every language is a fully fledged site - not a translated appendix lagging behind the original.
The same goes for content management. For Stichting DOEN we’re developing six fund websites on a single platform; doen.nl and doenventures.com are live. One technical foundation, one editing environment, and a distinct face per fund. For the editors that means: learn once, work everywhere. For the organisation: no six separate sites each demanding their own maintenance.
Fast, because it’s designed that way
Performance isn’t an optimisation pass at the end - it’s a series of design decisions: what you load and what you don’t, how heavy your images are, what happens on the server and what in the browser. We build so that Core Web Vitals are in the green - and stay there, even when a campaign or news moment suddenly brings a wave of visitors.
That speed isn’t technical vanity. A fast site ranks better, keeps visitors on board and feels trustworthy. For a website your organisation runs on, that’s not a luxury - it’s a precondition.
We stick around
With us a website isn’t a project with an end date, but a channel that has to keep working. Hosting, monitoring, updates, security and further development stay in our own hands: one fixed team, one point of contact, and a monthly report with performance and accessibility checks as a fixed rhythm.
How intensive that rhythm is grows with the collaboration. For our largest clients it means a weekly check-up and a quarterly meeting on location; for a smaller site it can be calmer. We agree the service level that fits your website.
Rather get straight to it? Jasper Kums, partner at eenvoud, is happy to take a look with you at what your website needs - no strings attached.
“Eenvoud is a true partner. They do what they promise. No fuss, no small print, no hidden costs.”

Frequently asked questions
What you want to know before you start.
What does a website by eenvoud cost?
That depends on the requirements, and we sharpen those together first. We prefer to start with a Site audit: within a week you know where your current website stands on performance, accessibility and security, with a prioritised improvement plan. After that we work in small, budget-controlled steps - after each part you decide whether and how we continue. After the first conversation you’ll know where you stand.
Do you also build simple brochure sites?
No - and we’re upfront about that. For a site that mainly needs to tell people who you are, there are agencies that will do it faster and cheaper. Our value is in websites with real requirements: accessibility, multilingualism, integrations and performance. Not sure which category your situation falls into? We’re happy to have that conversation - even if the answer is that you don’t need us.
What does WCAG accessibility mean for our site?
WCAG is the international standard for digital accessibility: your site is usable for everyone, including people using a screen reader, keyboard-only navigation or with a visual impairment. It’s mandatory for government organisations, and with the European Accessibility Act it applies to many businesses too. We build accessibility in from the design stage - more thorough and cheaper than repairing it afterwards.
Can you take over and develop our existing website?
Yes. In that case we start with a Site audit: we map out how the site is built technically and where the risks and opportunities are. Based on that we decide together what makes sense - building on the existing foundation, or renewing it step by step. You’re never locked in and you stay in control.
How does multilingualism work?
We set up multilingualism from day one - adding a language afterwards is almost always more expensive and messier. Every language gets a fully fledged site: its own URLs, findable in search engines and manageable for your editors from a single environment. That’s how it works for the fund websites of Stichting DOEN, for example.
